Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with this amazing family. We actually first met while I was on maternity leave. We were in the library program together.....a great program by the way for anyone on maternity leave.
But believe it or not they were basically neighbours of mine before I got married........small world. I've seen them around, from time to time, for several years and I just love how they've turned into such a beautiful family with the sweetest little girl.........her eyes could just melt you. What's really interesting is that the father (seen in the pictures) is interested in photography as well so I'm hoping we can all go out hiking and get some great shots together sometime soon. I'll definitely post the pictures of our adventures when we do. I think we'll be exploring some new locations with some real character which I'm really looking forward to. I really can't wait. We had a great time and actually I did another photo shoot right after this one, it was a big day, so I'll hopefully be posting some pictures from that session soon. Enjoy!! Heather

Well not only did I have Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving weekend I also had a photo shoot. We tired out a new location that I have to say I LOVE and I really want to go back again soon!
I'm really enjoying trying out all of these new and WONDERFUL locations for my sessions! I'm trying to find all of those unique and different places that make a session just that much better. In this case about one minute after we got off the train tracks what goes by but a TRAIN! YIKES that was close. Thank goodness it was going slow so we would have had plenty of time to run for it. That makes me think about the Santa Train tickets we've booked. I can't wait until we go!! And it's right here in Orangeville! I just know our daughter is going to LOVE it! Tonight we picked up her CUTE Halloween costume that we borrowed from some great friends of ours. Our daughter freaked out as soon as she saw it and put the hat on and did it up all by herself.........now I'm impressed. She wanted to try it on and kept saying costume, Butterfly. Yes she's going to be a butterfly. I can't wait until this Saturday to take her to the Orangeville Halloween Harvest Celebration. Here is the link if you want more information. http://www.thehillsofheadwaters.com/orangevillebia/ We went last year and really enjoyed ourselves and so did our daughter. Well I hope that everyone did have a GREAT Thanksgiving weekend and enjoy my pictures below. Cheers Heather Well my family and I were out getting some group photos done on the weekend. We had quite the time picking location and then once we were there we had to decide where to go.........it is definitely more challenging working with such a big group! Especially when your brother wants to include his new IPAD in every photo! and likes to make faces.
But we found the most amazing tree with all it's leaves still in tact which is more than I can say about most trees this past weekend. We went hiking at Mono Cliffs park and I'd have to say there weren't any "FALL COLOURS" to look at when we got to the Lookout point. Just you wait.........I'll have some pictures up from that adventure soon......all the leaves were on the ground which of course still made for some lovely photos. Enjoy. Heather I'm just finishing up all of my editing from my Glitter/Geisha shoot and thought I would share some of the behind the scenes photos. It was such a great session. It was my first session getting to use my new backdrop which was super fun. We did the Geisha shoot first and then moved onto the Glitter shoot. I can't wait to do another shoot with Amanda......coming soon so stay tuned! Here are some pictures showing all of the prep work Amanda did getting Sarah's make-up perfect. Half way through the process..... The finished product......... Amanda joining in the fun! And the Geisha final product.........
What a fun day today was!!!! We played in the leaves..........which Sydney LOVED by the way!!!! Then we headed off to Puck's Farm for some family fun...we'd never been there before so thought we should check it out to compare it against Downey's farm. In the end we liked different things about each farm.
Sydney has been saying "bouncy castle" for days now and jumping on her bed.........Ok the reason for this was a birthday party that we went to....that's where it all started. She went to this party and they had rented a bouncy castle and she just loved the thing; couldn't keep her off it. So we told her today there was going to be one and she got pretty excited! In the end we had to drag her out of that thing but took her to the train ride next so no tears were shed. Once she got on the train she was thrilled!! We also went on a hay ride with some fun ups and downs that got all of our stomachs feeling the butterflies. Oh yeah and don't forget the pony ride......not pictures of that since I took Sydney and Brian video taped the action. BTW Sydney didn't even cry! How fast they change. It was only in June when she cried on her first pony ride of the year......maybe that was her first pony ride ever actually. Anyhow, then off to the corn field maze we went. Sydney kept saying "this way, this way." we just kept going deeper and deeper into the maze. But finally we found our way out........ok it wasn't that hard to find our way out when we could see the exit sign the whole time but Sydney couldn't. Well I hope you enjoy the pictures and have a wonderful, happy, blessed Thanksgiving this year with your families. Heather |
